VCD x Medicom Darth Maul
Anyone that attended this past SDCC couldn’t help but stop at the Sideshow Collectibles super booth. Of all the awesome toys and statues they had on display, two of them really caught my eye. One was a display case of customized Medicom Vaders, which I will post later, and the second was a Darth Maul by Medicom. At the time I couldn’t find someone to give me info on a release for the Maul, but thanks to Toysrevil, I finally have a general date of quarter 2 of 2009 through Sideshow Collectibles. Not as firm a date as I like, but enough to slot it in on my calendar to look for. Unlike in the movie, this Darth Maul won’t take shit from any jedi.

Keds Hell Sand

Posted under sneakers by eric

Now I’m sure the name Keds doesn’t evoke the thought of a quality shoe. Most of us remember them as simple shoes, that house wives in middle America wore around to do house work or go shopping and junk, and then threw them in with the laundry when they got dirty. Well Keds is hoping you don’t remember that, or at least want you to forget that stage of their life. Here we have there step forward, the Keds Hell Sand, a simple, mid height shoe, using the signature Keds simplicity.

Unfortunately, the only slated release will be at United Arrows, but if that changes, I will update…because i kinda want a pair.

500 years later companion
Just having come back from the San Diego Comic Con, I thought I’d seen every toy there was to see, but I was wrong. A specially made custom Kaws 5YL companion dubbed, “500 Years Later Companion”, was created by Frank Kozik for the con. As to be expected, people have begun to go ape-shit at the idea of a new Companion release, but as it stands this is a one off.
