With another 600+ mile down, day two of the western expansion has come to an end.
Not much really to report on this leg of the trip, other then the bible belt being surprisingly packed with a lot of “adult” merchandise superstores1. . Between Memphis and Little Rock, we have to have come across at least 4-5 of these porn shops that were advertised on billboards the entire leg. Sorry no pictures :’( .
As far as scenery is concerned, Arkansas is a surprisingly beautiful stretch of state, while Oklahoma can only be described as depressing. There is nothing out here really, I mean until you actually get to Oklahoma City, you could literally be car one of five on the road for several hours. Aside from that, the city itself is nothing special, but the people are very pleasant, and helpful, which was a complete surprise to me. Hopefully the next leg to New Mexico will be more eventful.
